Big wall art...

I would love to have this wall art in our living room. If I can take a great photo similar to this and turn it into b&w and just have it printed on canvas, I would so have something similar to this. I may just have to work on my photography skills or maybe a lovely friend that's a great photographer would let me print one of her works in canvas and have it enlarged. I totally can picture this in our living room wall and this is something my guy would totally like.

I'm determined to have my own work on our walls...

Glamour...

I am swooning over this antique French mirror (from Bijan Royal). Such a big statement by itself. And the hand-painted wall covering just added even more glamour to this foyer...I like!

Happy DIY {pom poms} weekend...

I'm hoping to make 15 pom poms this weekend...I think it's feasible.

I plan on buying the supplies Friday after work, then hoping to get started Friday night and throughout the entire weekend. Pom poms mania.

BIG - Yes Is More

Last week a friend and I went to a free lecture at UC Berkeley where a well known Danish architect was giving a lecture, Bjarke Ingels. It was a great lecture and quite inspiring and interesting. Before the lecture I also picked up his book, Yes is More, to add to my coffee table book collection and was happy that we were able to get our books signed. I would recommend his book to anyone that's interested in architecture and design.

Viceroy Snowmass - Colorado

This new Colorado resort designed by Michel-Gathy and Kelly Wearstler is just amazing.


I wouldn't mind lounging around this space. So warm and inviting. And that ceiling...what can I say...just speechless...


And this chandelier light fixtures, is just my style.









Just love the warmth of this place. Hopefully one of these days I'll get to stay here.

Living Room - to purchase

Since we've decided to stay another year at our lovely small abode, I finally decided to make a few purchases for our place. At first I didn't want to purchase anything until we've moved to a new place, but since it's another year and I haven't really purchased anything since we've moved here (which is probably 4years or so now). And since the last time I really purchased anything for our place was during my college years, I think it's time to upgrade a few things. Plus I can't wait another year to change the space up a little. So these 3 are the main components I'd like to purchase sometime soon for our living room. I was looking for something that's within my budget, and I think these fits the criteria.

1. henny rand curtains - ikea
2. zigzag rug - west elm
3. adjustable metal floor lamp - west elm

Once I get these, then next stop is to change our bathroom accessories a little. Just a few little changes to our place to change it up a bit. No need to purchase anything major to change things, sometimes it's just the little things that needs some changing.
