as i was browsing real simple i ran into nice package shop website and found some cute gift wrapping kits. and with the holidays just around the corner, having a gift wrapping kit is useful to have. makes me think about my gift wrapping supplies i currently have and need to stock up on. it's always good to have some gift wrapping supplies in hand and (some greeting cards for all occasions) especially when things comes up last minute or sometimes we can never squeeze in time to go get those essentials.

exhausted...

i am feeling extremely exhausted this week. (i think i'm starting to get sick...but determined to fight this.) i feel like my creative mind for blogging isn't functioning well this week and i seem to be having a "bloggers block" (if there's such a thing). so i think this week i need to get myself together and take a rest for the week.

happy weekend...

i'm hoping to catch up on some reading this weekend since i honestly haven't really touched the book, The Time Travelers Wife. and since New Moon is about to come out in the theaters i decided to read Twilight first (which i've seen the movie already and loved it.) and hoping to read New Moon before i see it in the movie theater. so lots of reading to do this weekend...(eventually will get back to The Time Travelers Wife).

got sketch? - Views on New York

when i saw this article on New York Times, i knew i had to post this since i love New York. although i still haven't been there, i am still in love with that city. Matteo Pericoli asks well-known New Yorkers to describe what they see from their windows and he has put together a book of his drawings "The City Out My Window: 63 Views on New York".

here are some of the drawings that's in the book...

david byrne, musician & artist

mario batali, chef

john berendt, writer

junot diaz, writer

kurt andersen, novelist & radio host

mark morris, choreographer

megan o'rourke, poet

mikhail baryshnikov, dancer & choreographer & actor

nicole krauss, writer

peter sis, artist

philip glass, composer

rosanne cash, musician & writer

by seeing all these sketches makes me want to sketch the view we have from our window...i'll have to put that on my "to do" list ^_^.

it's a great coffee table book to have. i'm going to have to put this book on my "to buy" list. (yes, i seem to like to make "lists" and the best part about the making lists is crossing them off since it's been "completed".)

azure sofa (crate & barrel) + graphic pillows (top: lace; bottom: donuts) (room & board)

i am swooning over this sofa. i love the feminine look to it and just add some lovely pillows makes the sofa even amazing. i am on a hunt for a new sofa for our home.

nice legs...

as i was going through my design files i ran into this interesting kitchen island. i like how they had a different take on the legs...more of the traditional look in a very contemporary kitchen. i loved how they made it look like an art piece by having it stand out even more by using a mahogany type wood (not exactly sure what type of material it is). and those large shade light fixtures are amazing. makes the space even well balanced with those oversized legs.

happy weekend...

the weekend is finally here and i am so ready for the weekend. it's been a busy week and it seems like it's going to be a busy weekend as well. hopefully i'll have time to unwind and just relax and enjoy the weekend. i do have a lot on my "to do" list that seems like it hasn't changed...if anything, it seems to be increasing. so i better get on it before it gets way out of hand. asides from that, there's a few social events to attend...i need another weekend of doing a whole lot of nothing...but with the holidays coming up, etc...i don't think i'll be having "a whole lot of nothing weekend" until next year.

some of the items on my "to do" list:
*back up photos *start "christmas" projects *reorganize my "bookmarks" ...
...and the list goes on... and on... and on...

have a fantastic weekend.

Robert Pattinson + Kristen Stewart aka Edward + Bella

Like most people out there, I am a Twilight fan. With the New Moon movie coming out, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart was featured in Harpers Bazaar.

Go team Edward!...

inside look...Paolo's home (Oakland, CA)

when i saw some pictures of my friend Paolo's home, i knew i had to share it here in my blog. i'm fortunate enough to have met him from school, at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and have seen some of his great work. just by taking a look into his home, you can already know that he is an extremely talented designer.

here's a glimpse of his home in Oakland, CA...

i am swooning over his wall pattern that he painted himself...YES! he painted it!...and loving all the details.

check out some of his work that he posted on Facebook and join his group Paolo Monjes interior designer
